CLONALLON PARISH CHURCH, Co. DOWN.

In the Clonallon Parish Church, near Warrenpoint, a war memorial in the form of a beautiful brass tablet has been erected in honour of those members of the church who served in His Majesty’s forces in the Great War 1914-1918. The Tablet, which has been mounted on fumed oak, contains the names of 32 gallant men, 6 of whom died on service. It was unveiled at the morning service on Sunday last [October, 26, 1919] by Captain Roger Hall, M. C., Narrow-Water, and the preacher on the occasion was the Rector of the parish, Rev. R.E. Glenny, D.D. He chose as his text; “She hath done what she could,” (Mark xiv. 8). The names which have been in engraved on the tablet are;-
