This is a ‘new’ memorial. It commemorates the men and women of Carrickfergus who were killed or missing in the Great War and the Second World War. It is situated between Joymount and the Marine Highway.

The inscription is;-


THIS STONE WAS ERECTED IN A.D. 1972

AS A MEMORIAL TO THOSE CITIZENS OF THE BOROUGH

WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN TWO WORLD WARS

1914 – 1918, 1939 – 1945
